My GTi is old – it’s model year seems to have been the last one prior to the widespread introduction of usb ports as a standard piece of kit for new cars by VW. It has several buttons for satellite radio and a DVD-based navigation system. Bluetooth audio was moving from a rumor to reality but still a few years from being available as a feature. So no easy wireless audio existed for me in this car – only an aftermarked aux jack that I had been plugging into via Apple’s Lightning to 3.5mm adapter. I tried using a Bluetooth dongle, which brought brief joy followed by the realization that it would need frequent charging, which invariably brought on the eerie, disembodied, hissing menace of the Audio Ground Loop. Efffff.
BUT – I love my GTi; it’s paid off, cheap to insure, and driving it still puts a smile on my face. Two weeks ago I did a bit of research on reliable isolation devices, got overwhelmed by the crushing weight of paid-for, AI-faked, ludicrously off-topic, and real reviews, and decided to just buy the most popular one on the big A.
Thing works great. No degradation in quality (to my somewhat practiced ears), nor any decrease in volume. Just plugged my bluetooth receiver dongle into the cigarette lighter outlet/usb charger, connected this thing’s built-in 3.5mm male cord to the dongle’s output, then ran a short 3,5mm cord from this isolator to the aux jack. Voilà. Now that setup sits, out of eyesight, in the emergency-brake-lever area to the right of the driver. When I start the car, on comes the bluetooth. With this isolator in place, I have seamless, interference-free bluetooth audio from my iphone without ever having to plug the phone in to anything. Wonderful. Writing this review was harder than setting it all up.

Decided to get this after owning the Nintendo Switch 2 for a few months and noticing that every time I’m playing a game through my surround sound speakers there was a humming sound. I happen to come across this in a review on YouTube and wondered if it would solve my problem. After ordering it, hooking it up was extremely easy and immediately I noticed that the humming noise was all gone. Now my games sound amazing and it’s small enough where you don’t even notice that it’s connected to the Nintendo switch and the build quality seems good enough that it should last for a while. Definitely a must buy for someone that’s having the humming issue on the Nintendo switch 2 or switch one for that matter and you’re trying to connect it through surround sound.

Lo adquirí con algo de escepticismo, pero que bueno que me decidí. Lo uso para corregir un conmutador de audio porque este genera un zumbido al conectar la segunda o tercera fuente de audio. Entre la fuente de audio y el conmutador conecto este aparato y elimina el zumbido. Para un total de 4 entradas de audio, creo que al menos 3 fuentes necesitan este aparato antes de entrar al conmutador, porque no funciona si lo conecto a la salida del conmutador, sino que debe ir justo en la entrada (este conmutador de audio tiene 4 entradas). Lo recomiendo y probablemente lo vuelva a comprar.

This ground loop eliminator works excellently! I run the Zoom Meeting for Sunrise Rotary, and the system was running well until a new power speaker was purchased. When the computer output sound cable was connected, a loud, overpowering hum was generated.
Once the BESIGN Ground Loop Noise Isolator with a 3.5mm Audio Cable was inserted into the computer’s sound port and then connected to the speaker, the hum completely disappeared.

Pues resulta que el ruido de mierda que tenía en la línea de audio que iba de mi ordenador a mi interfaz tenía nombre y yo lo desconocía. El ruido de bucle de tierra, y resulta que este dispositivo lo elimina. Estaba puteadísimo con este ruido desde hace tiempo, y al final era sencillo de eliminar. Tonto de mi de no haber buscado antes cualquier tutorial, aún a sabiendas de que en internet hay tutorial para TODO. Sin exagerar… hasta para las cosas más insospechadas seguro que hay tutorial o pregunta resuelta en su defecto. Piensa en lo más raro del mundo, búscalo, y ZAS, tutorial al canto. No sé, por ejemplo, en la mejor forma de quitarse la suciedad que se cuela en las uñas de los pies… seguro que hay…Leche… que sí que lo hay… un artículo en prensa deportiva… Mae mía están flipaos de la cabeza…
En fin, que el dispositivo en cuestión elimina a la perfección el dichoso bucle de tierra, y el sonido lo recoge super limpio. Eso sí, la señal viene con más intensidad, por lo que si eres un mijitas es bueno que lo tengas en cuenta. Si tengo un rato grabo un audio con la diferencia y lo monto en un video con una foto random y os la subo.
Parece tener buena construcción y viene con el cable jack y clavija macho 3,5mm integrado (no sé si sería mejor tenerlo independiente, pero bueno, así se eliminan conexiones que pueden fallar a la larga). Recomendado.

This time it worked very well at my car. It has filtered all noise coming out from the Aux. It was so noisy and so annoying before installing this and things went so well. Not sure why it didn’t work last time when I used it with my home amplifier. But with the car it worked perfectly.

Works as intended in my older vehicle. 2007 with an AUX input in the armrest, right next to the USB and a 12v input. Had motor associated whine in the background when playing music, more noticable when in between songs or just plugged in. This made it quiet and eliminated the noise. Next will be a Hi-Res Bluetooth adapter so no cord will be needed and it will all fit in my armrest cubby!
