fist impressions lubing a throttle cable was a mess and a waste of lube. regardless of thumb screw tightness the spray flows out both ends of tool, and never came out the other end of cable housing. appears to be a bad design of spray nozzle pointing at 90 degree angle towards cable instead of say a 20-30 degree angle pointing towards housing.

The theory of this device is great, but in practice it’s not that great. It does help get spray lube down the tube around the cable but not without a mess. It is better than just trying to spray lube down the sides of the cable into the tube, but I think a better mousetrap is in order. Be prepared to make a mess until you get it figured out with some practice. Also, maybe of more importance, this device will NOT fit every style of cable ends, only those with the small button the end will fit into the barrel of the device.
