“Step one” whether you are using it on a paint finish or to restore headlight clarity, which is where the value really is. Using this for restoring headlights is also a longer term fix than the cheap “wipe on” polymer coatings which are not long lasting as they are not as hard as the original Polycarbonate the “wipe ons” are being applied to. The results are good, but part of the issue why the “After” is not perfect is in part due to pitting inside the capsule, which is normal.
Follow the directions on the bottle(s) for best results.
Using an applicator pad like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C2TDHQ8M (which is best used compressed right out of the package for best control.)
(This product) Step 1 using https://www.amazon.com/Meguiars-Mirror-Glaze-Ultra-Cut-Compound/dp/B003LMGDHI/ref=sr_1_6 Apply with a circular motion with heavy pressure until the surface has an even cloudy appearance that is reasonably smooth to your fingers.
Step 2 using https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003LMJP4Q Apply and buff as you did with step one (#105) and you will start gaining some clarity, and continue until you see no more improvement.
Step 3 using https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001O7PNNM Apply and buff as you did with steps 1 and 2, and this should bring additional clarity to the capsule lens and you will more clearly see the pitting inside of the capsule that you cannot repair. With a damp rag, wipe off the remaining compound completely. Applying a high quality wax after this is entirely optional, but the protection of the wax is limited due to how soft the finished wax film is, however it will reduce the ultra fine scratches even more, but those are so shallow you may not see any difference after step 3
Amazon did bundle the 3 compounds, which makes ordering easy..

Husband seems to say it is a good product, has used it on his car and even a friends car so he was boosting about it. Well I would say that means he likes it. I think it fills in the scratches on the car I guess. I don’t know what it looks like after a person washes their car.

I used Meguiar’s M105 Ultra-Cut Compound on my truck, applying it by hand with just a buffing pad. To my surprise, the scratches and heavy swirls came out quickly, and the paint regained a nice shine. I didn’t even need a machine polisher for it to work effectively. The compound is strong but still safe on the clear coat, and a little goes a long way. Great product for anyone looking to restore paint by hand.

I was totally sad when I saw my boat this year and it looked almost white. I tried the old rubbing compounds of the past and did not see any way it was coming back. So I bought a 79 dollar Harbor Freight Bauer DA polisher, orange pad and the M10532 Ultra cut compound and M6332 Flagship Premium Marine Wax.
The two pictures tell the story. Keep your DA on low speed always so it keeps the compound wet and cutting. Moderate pressure is all it took and no more than 3 passes to bring it all the way back. Meguiars Customer Service responds very well and suggested I use the M6332 for my sealing and protectant afterwards. I could not agree more.
Steps are if you have a litte arm muscle and lots of oxidation just use a terry cloth wash cloth and the 105 for a first pass by hand. You will get a lot of oxidation off and keep your Compound Pad cleaner on your next passes. You only need about three 1/4 inch dots of the 105 on the Pad for your a buffing pass. Keep your pad clean as you go with a little nylon bristle brush. This keeps the pad cutting well. When the pad gets caked just wash it in the sink with Dawn Liquid and dry.
Just apply and buff and in no time you will be freaking out how amazing the 105 works making your boat beautiful again. Also make sure you buy a pack of Microfiber Cloths. Use these to wipe off the 105 and the Marine Wax. It makes a beautiful finish. I am a total newbie on this but these simple products make great results.
My congratulations to Meguiar for an excellent product that is easy to use and easy to wipe off and makes an amazing shine!

This rubbing compound works extremely well. It removed some etched stains on my car’s paint that ordinary scratch remover couldn’t touch. It leaves the paint looking clean and super glossy. Another great product from Meguiar!

Does exactly what it says on the tin, or in this case container. May seem expensive but you get what you pay for. Don’t think I can throw anymore one liners in this….

This product is extremely easy to apply and to wipe off. I have never seen a smoother shiny surface on my car. Although it may seem expensive at around $40 for 16 ounces, I was able to complete applying to my car with only 2 ounces used so I can use this product 8 times with this single purchase. There are really good YouTube videos as to how to apply this product and I can verify that they are accurate. I would not hesitate to recommend this product to others.

I’m not a pro by any definition but have done a fair amount of body/paint and have detailed for years. I was struggling with the M100, which I bought in a pinch. The 100 has a very, very short work time and if it dries or you dry it while buffing you have to use a detail spray or similar to remove. Not a fan at all. I had used this M105 a couple of years back on a repaint of a fiberglass trike body and it did a great job. I installed rockers and a couple of patch panels on an older Ford Econoline and did a rattle can paint and clear blend. In using the Spraymax spot blender I always seem to get some grain/dry spray. After a wet sand of those areas using 1200, 2k, 3k and 5000 sandpaper I used the M105 with an 1 1/4″ knap wool pad on a rotary at low speed, not too much product and a light touch helps to prevent buffer drying on the panel and as expected brought out a beautiful mirror shine on those areas. I had previously used Maguires Ultimate Compound and polish on the other body areas just to brighten the finish. White paint is a bit more forgiving of swirl and scratches but after seeing the 105 next to it I’m going to have to go over it all again. The deepness of the reflections is night and day. The Ultimate polish used with a D/A and polishing pad seems to work just fine with this. 105 has a long work window and removal is easy and painless. I’ll stick with this going forward. I’m sure most of my paint issues are self-inflicted but most learning curves are. Keep in mind this is an 8 oz. bottle but it was a perfect size for my needs. Hope this saves somebody some M100 grief.

I’ve tried other brands in the past, but this one from Meguiar is the most effective one.
I e recommended it to my friends who do paint job at home.
