Works amazingly! I picked up white road paint on the driverโs side of my black car and thought Iโd have to get it repainted. I gave this a try, followed the instructions, sprayed generously, let it sit, then used a microfiber cloth wrapped over a spatula-style scraper to gently push the paint offโand it all came off! If you try this method, donโt let the scraper touch the paint directly; always keep it wrapped in the microfiber cloth. Afterwards, I recommend using a mix of car shampoo and dish soap to remove any leftover oil.

Okay, long story short – we have had a vehicle in our garage, now in our driveway, since the beginning of 2023. We were going to trade it in, but someone decided it would be better to fix it up a bit & sell it ourselves…
Oh boy, if I knew then what I know now…
We are almost there, seeing the light at the end of the tunnel finally – the car-safe tape can be taken off!! But wait! It’s not car-safe tape if you leave it on there for years! Between the hot, humid summers & bitter-cold winters of Michigan, that tape became glued on to the car. I thought it would come off easily so I volunteered to do it, and no way, that stuff wasnt coming off.
Our newly graduated nephew decided to get into car detailing, great! Perfect, we can hire him right? Well, said nephew says he’s going to come over & do it but then stops responding. So, now what?
That’s where this Goo Gone comes in!!!
I cannot below how easily it came off. Sure, there was some scrubbing, but before it wasn’t even budging. It works so well, and now the tape is gone from the car!
I plan on adding before and after pics when I get home.
HIGHLY recommend!

Worth a try but did not work as well as advertised

I bought this hoping it would remove fresh pine sap from my car. It didn’t really work very well for that…it took a lot of elbow grease to the point where I think using water might’ve worked just as well; however, I had some black industrial street tar splattered across the bottom right side of my car for YEARS. I’d given up hope on ever getting it to come off…I’d even put on car polish on top of it while waxing the rest of the car as an act of defeat…but seriously, 1 or 2 squirts of this stuff and it was wiping off like butter…no seriously it was like butter. After cleaning the worst spot, I regretted not taking a “before” picture because it came completely off. I did take before and after pics on the rear fender and that’s what I’m sharing on this review. The white scratches are damage from someone sideswiping me a few years ago…it didn’t remove those…

This did not work for what I intended to purchase for (car dashboard), however I have used this on multiple surfaces besides that and it seems to work very well. It has removed hard, stuck on things from the counter top, floor, table, etc. The smell can be a little overwhelming to some, and it is not a very pleasant smell. I just aired out the room where I used this and that worked fine.

Great for removing glue from car when removing badges
Nichole –
This stuff is amazing!! Not just on cars. Bbq, hard ti remove stains on clothes and so much more
Michael –
Works decently enough with some elbow grease. Thatโs to be expected. What wasnโt expected is the nasty residue it leaves behind if even the slightest overspray occurs. For that reason I only gave it 4 stars.
Samantha –
Works great! I was able to get the residue off my car from a bumper sticker
Grimmace –
Overall, worked great. When a lot of sticker or residue is left, this got it gone. Just spray and wait fa few minutes. ?Used with a plastic razor and most of the stickers or adhesive would come right off. Sometimes a last bit wouldn’t come off, but just keep reapplying and wipe off.
